2. Homework for All Registrants: NOTE From FACULTY TRAINER Pam: The focus of faculty training for this meeting is going to be examining our role as Trainers in Rotary individually and collectively. To this end, you each have a 'homework' assignment. Please take a few minutes to read the article 'How to Train the Aging Brain' and do a bit of pondering. Regional RLI New Faculty Qualification Classes Announced

RLI has announced the following regional New Faculty Qualification Classes available in the Fall of 2013:
The courses all run from 8:30am-4:30pm and include a $50.00 registration fee. Click the event links above for more information and event registration. Click here for the complete event calendar.

The class is the qualifying training to be on the Faculty of the Zone 33 Rotary Leadership Institute. 

Prerequisites include completion of Parts I, II and III of The Rotary Leadership Institute (Graduate status) or comparable vocational and Rotary experience, at the discretion of the RLI Faculty Trainer, contact: Pam Wall at for more information.

Wall Presented International Award

Zone 33 RLI Executive Director and Past Board Chair Bevin Wall was presented the 2013 Outstanding Achievement Award by RLI International during the Lisbon, Portugal Rotary Convention on June 26, 2013. The award recognizes exemplary service for the cause of leadership development for the clubs of Rotary International worldwide.

Wall was integral in pioneering the materials that eventually became the first International RLI Curriculum in 2005, and has since served as Editor of the International RLI Curriculum, webmaster and originator of the RLI Faculty Website, RLI International Training Leader, and on the Curriculum and Legal Committees of RLI International. At the same time, he served as Board Member, Board Chair and now Executive Director of Zone 33 RLI, providing leadership development and training for Rotarians across 15 Rotary districts in the mid-Atlantic states USA and in the Caribbean.

Wall, from Newport, North Carolina, was District Governor in 2002-03, and has served Rotary as RI Membership Zone Coordinator, Regional RI Membership Coordinator and Rotary Coordinator. He is a recipient of the RI Service Above Self Award and The Rotary Foundation's Citation for Meritorious Service.  

The award was presented by RLI International Chair and Founder David Linett and RLI International Vice-Chair for Training, Frank Wargo. Wall was accompanied at the presentation by Zone 33 RLI Chair Abe Clymer and Zone 33 RLI Faculty Trainer, Pam Wall.
