|RLI Faculty & Staff in Training at Cary|
Over 50 Rotarians and guests gathered for the training event that featured separate training tracks for Staff, Existing Faculty and New Faculty (see accompanying New Faculty article), and also featured fun and fellowship with several meals outings and group attendance at the Sheryl Crow concert at the Durham Performing Arts Center on Saturday night.

The next day, Staff, including 3 new Regional Coordinators, and several new District Chairs, learned the basics of running Institute events, including roles and responsibilities, event management processes, available resources. The group spent several sessions in hands-on training in the Wake Tech West computer lab, led by RLI Executive Director Bevin Wall and Bio update sessions with Ed Shearin. Staff also met by region to discuss work throughts of multi-district event management issues.
Faculty worked on facilitation techniques led by senior RLI Faculty members Barbara Shayeb-Helou (moderator), Van Sherrill, Rxoger Harrill, Mark Lynch, Jerry Fields and Brenda Tinkham.
Sunday included a demonstration and critique of a role playing technique for the Vocational Service/ Ethics Part I Session.

Twelve New Faculty joined the Zone 33 Rotary Leadership Institute Faculty rolls during the August 2-4, 2013 Summer Meeting in Cary, NC. Click here for the article on the Summer Meeting. New Faculty Training was led by RLI Faculty Trainer Pam Wall and Past RLI Board Chair Sandra Duckworth. Joining in the recognition of the New Faculty on Saturday afternoon was RLI Board Chair Abe Clymer and RLI Executive Director Bevin Wall.
